Grace Jenean Booker December 30, 1919 - August 13, 2008 Grace Jenean Booker, age 88, passed away in her home Wednesday, August 13, 2008. Grace was born December 30, 1919 to the union of the late Binun Morgan Hudspeth and the late Leatha (Edwards) Hudspeth. She married Kessel Booker. Kessel passed away August 6, 1972. Grace worked for the Monroe Public schools for 31 years as a teacher retiring in 1986. She earned a Bachelor's Degree in Education from North Texas State Teachers College and she also attended courses at the University of Toledo. Grace was a member of First Baptist of Monroe. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters: Jenean and Wilson Eshoo of Toledo, Ohio, Kenna and Wesley Craig of Fallon, New York; four sons: Ken and Renee Booker of Monroe, Kess and Susan Booker of Monroe, Kreg and Jeanette Booker of Carleton, and Kibbe and Carolyn Booker of Hudson, Michigan. She is survived by 15 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Her passing was preceded by her parents, her husband, and one grandchild. Family will gather at 11:00am; Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Roselawn Memorial Park for a graveside service. Sister Kathleen O'Brien of Mercy Memorial Hospice will officiate. Her cremains will be interred next to her beloved Kessel. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Frenchtown Township, (734) 384-5185 was entrusted with her arrangements. For those desiring memorial contributions are suggested to the Mercy Memorial Hospice.
