Mary Jane Thornton of Sylvania, Ohio died at Arbors at Sylvania Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was born to Norman and Laura Mominee on October 19, 1922 in Toledo, Ohio.
Mary Jane was preceded in death by her husband Hobart Thornton, her parents and siblings, Virginia Jones and William Mominee. She is survived by her daughter Carol (Bill) Harlow, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her nieces Joann (Salvatore) Cellura, Colette (David) Nowak and nephew Jerome (Catherine) Mominee, as well as 12 grand-nieces and nephews and several great-great grand-nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place at Toledo Memorial Park. A mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Mary Jane's life will be held at St. Joseph Church, Sylvania, Ohio at a later date, to be announced.
