Obituary of Manuel Harris

Manuel "Dohnquay" Harris November 16, 1978 - April 25, 2014 Manuel "Dohnquay" Harris was born in Wayne, Michigan on November 16, 1978. He was the son of the late Patrick Mora and Jocelyn Harris. Manuel was very family oriented. He loved his kids and spending time with them was most important to him. He especially enjoyed creating memories; going to museums, the movies, and UFC mixed martial arts. Manuel and his mom shared a special unique relationship and he also had a special bond with his stepfather: Michael They spent countless hours joking with each other. Manuel loved traveling to Northern Michigan. He enjoyed the company of his friends, and fitness was important to him committing to exercise every day. Manuel was a gifted artist and so naturally he was drawn to comics. He particularly was fond of Japanese Anime, Superman and Transformers. His taste in music was extensive and he enjoyed jamming to all types of music including jazz on his surround sound. Manuel "Dohnquay" Harris age 35 of Newport passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 25, 2014 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. In addition to his father (Patrick Mora) passing was preceded by his grandparents: Leo and Elizabeth Mora and Calvin Ring To cherish his memory he leaves his mother and step-father: Jocelyn Harris and Michael Meadows of Newport; sister Ahyana T. Elliott. brother Patrick (Dula) Bost, a loving partner: Desiree Jaeger; two daughters: Chyan Alycia and Serena Elizabeth both of Newport; maternal grandmother: Zoetta Ring; maternal aunt: Vanessa (Alvin) Brian and a cousin: Cameron Brian of Southfield and host of close friends and loved ones who loved and admired him dearly. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 7:00pm with the Evangelist Renita Donaldson of Greater Christ Temple in Ferndale officiating. Memorial donations are suggested to his children.
