Obituary of Chelsie Little
Please share a memory of Chelsie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Chelsie Lynn Little was born in Monroe on July 2, 1992. She was the youngest of three daughters born from the union of Barry P. and Kay (Henderson) Little. Chelsie attended Trinity Lutheran School and was confirmed in 2006. She was an excellent athlete, lettering in volleyball, tennis and golf. A 2010 graduate of Monroe High School she was offered a golf scholarship to Madonna University.
Chelsie instead chose to stay close to home attending classes at Monroe County Community College. In 2011, Chelsie became a mother to a most beautiful baby girl: Lacie Lynn. Nothing in life brought Chelsie more joy than providing for Lacie, spoiling her with gifts and cherishing their experiences together.
Chelsie had the uncanny ability to capture hearts. She was the consummate social butterfly and enjoyed hanging out with her friends. Chelsie was fun to be around, well known for her care free attitude and bubbly personality. She loved to shop and her great sense of humor was second only to her sense of style. Whenever, Chelsie left the house she was sure to try on ten outfits before leaving to make sure she looked her best. She always left a trail of discarded garments along the way.
Chelsie age 21 passed from this life on Saturday, April 19, 2014.
To cherish her memory she leaves her parents: Barry and Kay Little of Monroe; her daughter: Lacie Lynn Little of Monroe; two sisters: Katie (Jeff) LeBrun of Newport and Stacie (Josh) Woods of Gonzales, Louisiana; maternal grandparents: William "Bill" and Nancy Henderson of Monroe; paternal grandparents: Duane and Betty Little of Monroe; one nephew: Aiden LeBrun of Newport; and two nieces: Avery LeBrun of Newport and Joslyn Woods of Gonzales.
Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. She will lie in state from 10:00am until a Celebration of Her Life at 11:00am at Trinity Lutheran Church, 323 Scott Street on Thursday, April 24, 2014. Reverend Jeffrey Heimsoth pastor of the church will officiate. Procession will follow to St. Joseph Cemetery in Monroe for burial.
