Obituary of Sharon Lee Jaworski
Sharon Lee Zaborowski was born on July 15, 1941, in Toledo, Ohio. She was one of three children born to the union of Edmund and Stella (Oberski) Zaborowski. Sharon was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Toledo and continued her education at Davis Business School where she obtained her Associates Degree.
Sharon was joined in marriage to Wayne Jaworski at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee on October 29, 1960. The couple was blessed with five children and enjoyed more than sixty years of wedded bliss. Together they operated Jaworski Farms where they grew corn, wheat, and soybeans and raised dairy cattle. They traveled throughout the United States, visiting Hawaii and the Pacific Coast, spending many winters with their son in California.
Sharon was a very active member of St. John Lutheran Church teaching Sunday school for many years, was a member of their women’s group, and organized banquets and funeral luncheons. She also volunteered with 4-H for forty years and was a member of the Expansion and Review Committee, the Youth Development program, and was the Superintendent of the two 4-H craft buildings at the Monroe County Fairgrounds.
A talented artist herself, with a great eye for color, Sharon, could make anything from ceramics to quilts. No matter what project she embarked on, Sharon, was a quick learner and had a knack for being able to figure out what needed to be done to obtain perfect results. She kept a beautifully maintained flower garden learning everything there was to know about roses. She also had an equally abundant vegetable garden and would can dozens of jars from her harvest each fall.
