John Everett Henderson, Jr. was born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania on October 24, 1930. He was the son of the late John Everett Henderson, Sr. and the late Janet (Shaw) Henderson. From this union they had three children. John served honorably in the Marine Corps.
He married the former Patricia Ann Hayden in Sheppard, Michigan, where they raised their six children.
John supported his family as an Engineering Supervisor for General Motors in Warren, Michigan for over forty years, retiring in September 1987.
He was an excellent marksmanship and was an Archery Instructor with children. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge.
John Everett Henderson Jr., age 83 of Novi passed away at his daughter's home on Wednesday, November 6, 2013. In addition to his parents, his passing was preceded by his wife: Patricia.
To cherish his memory he leaves three daughters: Deborah (David) Doddie of Carleton Michigan, Katherine (Philip) Halstead of New Hudson, Michigan, Julie(James) Nunley of Livonia, Michigan, and three sons: John of Howell, Michigan, Scott (Nancy) of Sterling Heights, Michigan, and Christopher of Westland, Michigan; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two sisters: Eleanor and Sally.
Cremation has taken place through Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185.
