Ronald Lee Bentley Sr. was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 27, 1961. He was the only son of the late Delores (Wood) Bentley. Ronald was skilled with his hands and worked in the construction industry. For the past five years he had worked as a roofer. Ronald was a free spirit. He enjoyed working out to keep himself physically fit. He wasn't afraid to walk anywhere, and had traveled the United States by foot soley for the experience and to see the sights. Ronald was good hearted and could be a very generous person. He loved his cousin, Stella Richter, and had a very special bond with her. Ronald was very outgoing and since he was often the center of attention he could be a real joy to be around. He enjoyed the serenity of fishing, and the wind in his face as he rode his Harley Davidson motorcycle. In his free time he liked to draw, and worked for others a as a tattoo artist. He also had completed some very impressive and intricate leather crafting over the years. Ronald Lee Bentley Sr., age 52 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 2, 2013 at 1:48pm. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by two cousins: Stella Richter and David Waldroup. To cherish his memory, Ronald leaves behind two sons: Ronald Bentley Jr. of Howell and David Richter; a cousin: Carol Waldroup; and a grandson: Forest Bentley. Cremation has taken place through Southern Michigan Services in Livonia, Michigan. Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with his arrangements. The family is planning a memorial Service for a later date. Memorial donations for those who desire are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
