Obituary of Terry Ferris

Terry Lee Ferris was born August 16, 1958 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of seven children born from the union of Lee and Mary Lou Ferris. Terry graduated from Wayne Memorial High School and later honorably served in the US Army for six year as an Airborne Trooper. Terry supported himself as a self-employed Construction Contractor. He had a passion for building homes and completing home improvements. Terry was an avid sports fan especially taking interest in the Detroit Tigers, Lions and Denver Broncos. He played baseball and softball and bowled for years on the local men's leagues. As a runner, Terry ran 3 and 5 Ks and completed a marathon in Colorado. In his younger years, he enjoyed camping and hiking. Terry was a highly intelligent and caring individual, helping anyone in need at any time. He loved to socialize and hang with his friends at the sports bar while grabbing a burger and a beer. He treasured his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them, especially his grandbabies and his Jack Russell, "Bear." Terry Lee Ferris age 54 of Denver, Colorado passed away on July 17, 2013. In addition to his passing is preceded by his mother. To cherish his memories he leaves behind the love of his life, Patti Ferris of Colorado; two daughters: Jennifer(Terry) Justice of Battle Creek and Melissa (Matt) Markham of Battle Creek; three sons: Joshua Ferris, Sean Clark and Joshua Clark all of Colorado; four sisters: Tina Ferris of Texas, Tammy (Roger) Curley of Indiana, Tricia (David) Kobio of Washington and Becky (Tim) Rector of Indiana; two brothers: Duane Ferris and Dean Ferris; eleven grandchildren: Jessie, Nancy, Jackson, Angeliqua, Matthew, Riley, Gage, Victoria, Donovan, Jamian and Alexis. Cremation has taken place. Friends may gather from 9:00am-12:00pm, Monday August 12, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe (734) 384-5185. A Memorial Service will be held at 12:00pm on Monday August 12, 2013 also at Merkle's. Memorial donations are suggested to the Monroe Missionary Baptist Church building fund.
