Obituary of Steven M. Burgess

Steven Mark (Burl) Burgess, age 58, of Oscoda and formerly of Dundee, passed away suddenly in Oscoda Township , December 10, 2015. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan February 18, 1957 the son of Wayne L. and Edna F. (Fritzler) Burgess. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1976 and moved to Oscoda in 1995. He was employed a s a driver for Waste Management in Tawas. Steve loved the outdoors. He loved hunting of all kinds and fishing. While at Dundee high school he played football and was a wrestler. He is survived by his daughter Jessi (Jason) Cousino of Carleton and his son Timothy Justice (Charly Bronson) of Dundee; his mother Edna Burgess of Dundee; six grandchildren Taylor, Wyatt, Aisley, Ava Cousino, Madison and Natalie Justice; brothers William (Gerri) and Eugene (Renae) both of Oscoda. He was preceded in death by his father Wayne, brother Michael Burgess, sister Susan Burgess and twin sons Steven and Michael. Friends may call Wednesday from 12 – 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, December 17, 2015. Officiating will be the Rev. Jennifer Kiefer, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church. Memorial services in Oscoda will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family for a memorial they will decide on later. The family asks that those coming for visiting hours and services wear clothing that is hunting attire.
