Obituary of Jeffrey A. Lemley

Jeffrey A. Lemley, 53, of Ypsilanti formerly of Dundee, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014 at the Heartland Care Center in Ann Arbor. He was born in Ann Arbor May 28, 1961 to Margaret (Sheffer) Lemley and Sylvester (Butch) Lemley. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1979 and was an avid U of M football and basketball fan. He also followed the Detroit Tigers and the Red Wings. He worked in the warehouse for Borders Books then in its accounts payable office. Jeff is survived by his significant other, Karen Greene of Ypsilanti, his father and stepmother Sylvester (Butch) and Linda Lemley of Carlisle, Iowa; brothers Scott (Elaine) Lemley and Eric (Connie) Lemley both of Dundee; 3 sisters Joleyne (Rich) Young, Pam Ethell and Peggy Lemley all of Iowa and several nieces and nephews which he dearly loved. He was preceded in death by his mother and stepfather Margaret and Dale Alexander. Visitation will be from 10 AM until 12 noon followed by a Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156 or 888-383-4176). Officiating will be the Rev. Jennifer Kiefer, pastor of St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. Cremation has been held at Tri-County Crematory in Ypsilanti.
