Obituary of Donna Jean Cole

Donna Jean Cole, age 85 of Manchester, formerly of Dundee, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2013 at the home of her daughter and son in law. She was born in Monroe County, Michigan Sept. 16, 1927, the daughter of Martin and Harriet (Laudenslager) Rehberg. She attended Dundee Schools and married Wayne Cole November 7, 1959. He passed away February 27, 2003. She had worked for Yeck Manufacturing in Dundee for many years. She then worked for Uniloy and finally at Dundee Community Schools. She enjoyed creating and finishing wood working projects with her husband Wayne in their woodshop at their home. She loved gardening, her dogs, watching birds, crocheting, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Her survivors include her daughters Karen (Robert) Barackman of Manchester, Lorraine (Kenneth) Jaworski of Dundee; stepdaughters Cheryl (Dick) Case of Monroe and Vickie Weiss of Dundee; grandchildren Darrin Cook, Matthew Cook, Kris (Doug) Salenbien, Kim (Steve) Peters, Kevin Jaworski; great-grandchildren Nicholas Cook, Devin Cook, Nicole Salenbien, Allison Salenbien, Ashley Salenbien, Kevin Roe Jr, Cassie Roe, Kaleigh Roe and Keegan Roe; step grandchildren Misty, Shane and Scott. Also 15 step-greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, brothers Glennie Rehberg, Stanley Rehberg and Thurman Rehberg and sisters Nina Hutchinson and Alice Hartman. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2:00 PM, Sunday, September 8, 2013 at Maple Grove Cemetery on Brewer Road in Dundee. Officiating will be the Rev. Peter Harris, pastor of the Sharon United Methodist Church in Manchester. Cremation has taken place. Arrangements are being conducted by the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156).
