Obituary of David Leveque

David James Leveque was born in Monroe, Michigan on February 19, 1975. He was one of three children born from the union of Jack David Leveque and Pamela (West) Leveque. He was baptized at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church and was a 1993 graduate of Erie Mason High School. For many years, David worked as a semi-truck driver, a career that he loved, but he gave it up after the birth of his children to make sure he spent more time at home. The past two years he had been employed on the assembly line at Global Engine in Dundee. He married the love of his life the former Shannon LeFevre in Toledo, Ohio on June 29, 1999. David's life revolved around family and his motorcycle. First and foremost David was a family man. He loved spending time with his wife and daughters and he often stated that his proudest moment, was carrying his newborn girl's home from the hospital. David enjoyed spending time with his father and they often took motorcycle trips together. He enjoyed his Honda Shadow although he looked forward to the day he would have a Harley. David was generous and compassionate. He had a big heart of gold, and he was very helpful. In his free time, David enjoyed bowling and was very talented. He had thrown for several 300 games over the years. David also enjoyed electronics and was a gadgets kind of guy. He liked window shopping for fine cars. David James Leveque age 38 of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. His passing was preceded by his mother-in-law: Pamela Smith; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. To cherish his memory he leaves his beloved wife: Shannon Leveque of Monroe; two beautiful twin daughters: Hayden Ann and Hannah Alizabeth; his loving parents: Jack and Pamela Leveque of LaSalle; one brother: Scott (Raquel) Leveque; and one sister: Kathy (Nathan) Harmon. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 and from 10:00am until a Celebration of His Life which will take place at 11:00am, Friday, July 19, 2013 also at Merkle's. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
