Obituary of Robert L. O'Connor

Robert L. O’Connor, age 72, of Dundee, Michigan, died Sunday , March 3, 2013 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor. He was born in Dundee, January 6, 1941 the son of Thomas and Vivian May (Bragg) O’Connor. He married Karen M. Rod October 17, 1964 in Dundee. Bob had been employed at Hess Cartage Co. and then worked for GM Hydramatic Plant in Toledo until his retirement in 2008. He was a major sports supporter at Dundee Community Schools. He thoroughly enjoyed watching his grandkids play sports. He loved his family and friends, fishing, and snowmobiling. He is survived by his wife Karen; daughters Renee (Dan) Bolster of Dundee and Traci (Kenneth) Fietz of Maybee; grandchildren Derrick, Daniel, Dallas, Drew, Ashley and Austin; sisters Joan Spoor of Flushing and June Cooley Gray of Dundee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Ryleigh Renee Bolster and a brother Lyle O’Connor. Visiting hours on Wednesday and Thursday from 3 – 8 PM both days at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 8, 2013 at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Olsen, pastor of Dundee United Methodist Church.
