Obituary of Ryan Michael Fox

Ryan M. Fox, 25, of Maybee, Michigan died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Wm. Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak as a result of an auto accident that same day in Pontiac. Born July 17, 1987 in Jackson, Michigan he was the son of George Edward and the late Janis E. (Miller) Fox. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, February 28, 2013. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Olsen, pastor of the Dundee United Methodist Church. Burial will be at Roseland Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Jackson. He graduated from Dundee High School in 2005 and went on to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Michigan University. He was employed as a Design Engineer at GM Powertrain in Pontiac, Michigan. Ryan was a fun, easy-going guy. A favorite hobby he shared with his father was the love of classic cars. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty. He was a member of the Milan Backstreet Cruisers, and The Wanderers car clubs where he would proudly display his ’68 T-Bird. His second love was fishing, followed only by his love for a great steak followed by a fine cigar! He will be sadly missed by his father, George E. Fox Jr. and step-mother, Mary Fox of Maybee; brothers: Joseph E. Fox of Jackson, James R. Fox of Jackson, and Jason N.(Danielle) Fox of Addison; step-siblings: Leah Cleer of Maybee, and Charles N. Cleer of Westland; nephews: Thomas and Kaleb Whitaker, Joey Fox, Alex Fox; nieces: Teresa Beebe, Jade Fox, and Madilynn Fox; and grandparents, George E. and Shirley Fox Sr. (St. Helen) He was preceded in death by his mother, Janis E. Fox; sister, Ashley Marie Fox; grand-parents, Ray and Lois Miller; step grandmother Grace Burns; and niece, Jazmyn Fox. Memorials may be made to any charity of the donor’s choice.
