Obituary of Lee Ellison

Please share a memory of Lee to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Lee Roy Ellison was born on August 30, 1953 in Monroe, Michigan. He was one of three children from the union of the late Joseph Ellison and the late Cornelia (Leedy) Ellison. Lee was a hard worker. He worked as a laborer for more than fifteen years as a member of the Laborer's Union Local 465. He spent twelve years as a Machine Operator employed by United Brass. Lee had a passion for music. He loved Classic Rock and had played bass guitar in his own group, The Union Street Band, for many years. Lee was fun and loving. He was quick witted, a prankster, and the life of any party. Lee loved to socialize with everyone. He also was meticulous and set in his ways. As an avid sports fan, he loved the Detroit Tigers and enjoyed playing pool. Family was always most important to Lee. He was dad to his two girls, but a father to many others over the years. He lovingly obtained the nickname of "Uncle Buck", from all of the nieces and nephews. In his free time he enjoyed collecting model classic cars, and was also a TV crime show junky. Lee Roy "Uncle Buck" Ellison age 59 of Monroe passed away at 3:55pm, Friday, July 12, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by two brothers-in-law: Eugene Mullins and Les Bankston. To cherish his memory he leaves two beloved daughters: Shelly (Brett Schaner) Ellison of Ann Arbor and Rachel (MaryBeth Neary) Ellison of Toledo; one grandson: Bryce Schaner; one brother: Joseph (Judy) Bailey of Flat Rock; one sister: Patricia Ann Bankston of West Virginia; several nieces and nephews: Sheila, Joey (Evelyn)Bankston, Steve, Jennifer(Jeff) Johnson, Robert (Kaylee) Mullins, Mandy (Eric) Moore; great nieces and nephews: Alexis, Nikole, Jasmine, Cameron, Cody, Haylie, Ryan, Brooklyn, Karsyn, Emma, Katelyn, Weiland, Gavin, and many others.
