Obituary of Florence A. Nicolai

Florence Adeline Nicolai, age 81 of Dundee, formerly of Detroit, passed away at 9:35 A.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Medilodge of Monroe. She was born in Detroit, Michigan July 19, 1931 the daughter of Howard and Mabel (Haack) Turner. She married William G. Nicolai November 11, 1948 in Wisconsin. He passed away April 27, 2006 at his home. Florence was a dispatcher for the Checker Cab Company and had also worked at Neisner’s 5 & 10 Store. She is survived by two sons William (Mary) Nicolai Sr. of Sterling Hts. and Steven (Gale) Nicolai of Dundee; son in law John Davis of Toledo, Ohio; grandchildren Kimberly Nicolai, Sarah Nicolai, William Nicolai, Steven Nicolai, Matthew Ellis, Joshua Ellis and Jesse Ellis.; brothers Howard Turner of Colorado and Charles Turner of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her husband, a daughter Deborah Davis in 2009, and a sister JoAnne McNeil. Friends may call on Sunday from 1 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Interment will take place with her husband on Monday, October 8, 2012 at the Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road, Holly, MI 48442.
