Obituary of Wilma C. Brockman

Wilma Clara Brockman, age 90, of Jonesville, Michigan, formerly of Monroe and Dundee, passed away at 12:37 A.M., Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at Hillsdale County Care Center. She was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan January 13, 1922 the daughter of Edward and Eva (Woods) Hammer. She married Lewis W. Brockman April 8, 1939 in Monroe. Lewis passed away February 1, 1986. She came to Dundee as a young girl and then moved to Monroe. In her later years she then moved to Pierson, Michigan then to Jonesville. She loved to crochet. Her survivors include five sons: Kenneth (Joyce) Brockman of Arizona, Larry (Linda) Brockman of Britton, James (Angela) Brockman of Tennessee, and Timothy and Michael both of Jonesville; two daughters Susan Kay (Bill) Dillenbeck of Jonesville and Nancy Lake of Mt. Pleasant; 22 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; sister Edna Anteau of Tennessee and two half sisters Carol Bewley and Lillian Geier both of Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her husband, a son Bob in 1982 and brothers Daniel, Edward, Frank, Fred, Ambert and Jack. Friends may call on Friday from 1 – 8 P.M. at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). Her funeral will take place at the funeral home Saturday, 11:00 A.M., October 6, 2012. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Brown, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Dundee. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
