Katherine (Katie) (Hartwick) Muscarella, age 27, of Grass Lake, Michigan formerly of Dundee, Michigan, passed away at 6:15 P.M., Saturday, August 11, 2012 at H.R.C. of Jackson following a short illness. Katie was born in Monroe on February 7, 1985 the daughter of Thomas L. (Boon) and Mary L. (Hall) Hartwick. She graduated from Ida High School in 2004. She also graduated from Olivet College with a Bachelor of Science Degree. While at Olivet, she was on the Dean’s List. She had worked in office administration at Olivet College for four years but was a multi-talented woman. She loved sports and was active in track and field events in both high school and college. In addition to running she also loved reading. She was married to Anthony R. Muscarella at the Jackson County Courthouse May 28, 2008. Katie is survived by her beloved husband Anthony Muscarella of Grass Lake, her loving daughter Izabella at home, her mother Mary Hartwick of Dundee, and sister LaDawna Harden of Dundee. She was preceded in death by her father Boon in 2009. Friends may call on Thursday from 3 - 8 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Humanist graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 17, 2012 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee.
