Sandra Marie Cooper was born on December 7, 1960, one of five children born from the union of the late WIlbur H. Cooper Jr. and the late Hattie M (Stevens) Cooper. She attended Monroe High School. She married the love of her life: Keith Pulcheon on December 5, 1981 in Monroe. For several years, Sandra worked as the Store Manager for the local Shell Gas Station. Sandra as an individual could be quite head-strong. She passionate about life and she was a very determined goal setter. Sandra had a great sense of humor, and a very infectious laugh and personality. She was a genuine friend to many and had a host of friends who genuinely loved her. Sandra loved collecting animal prints of all kinds, but her favorites were those of Koalas. She enjoyed crafts, beading jewelry, and quilting. She loved to entertain and cook for her family. Sandra enjoyed listening to music, attending concerts, and shopping for clothes. She had a special place in her heart for her dog "Max". Sandra had received spiritual nourishment while attending Victory Temple Church of God. Sandra Marie Pulcheon age 52 of Monroe passed away peacefully at home with her loving family at her side on Friday, June 28, 2013. She had been under the care of Arbor Hospice. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a brother: Gary Cooper; a stepsister: Diana Brown; two aunts: Jeanette Williams and Mary Osgood. To cherish her memory she leaves her beloved husband of more than thirty-one years: Keith of Monroe; two sisters: Deborah (Herb) Larson of Killeen, TX and Patty (Danny) Sutton of Hardeeville, South Carolina; two brothers: Wilbur H. (Yolanda) Cooper III, of California and Todd Cooper of Ridgeland, South Carolina; a brother-in-law: George Brown; and twelve nieces and nephews. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway(734) 241-7070 (formerly Bennett Funeral Services). A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle's with Reverend Alfred P. Whitaker pastor of Victory Temple Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to The Karmanos Cancer Center in Detroit.
