Rose Mary Mills, age 75, of Dundee and formerly of Maybee, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at Promedica Regional Monroe Hospital. She was born in Dundee, Michigan on February 2, 1940 the daughter of Hazen and Neola (Dennis) Heisler. Rose graduated from Dundee High School in 1958. She then married Samuel Edward Mills June 28, 1958 at the London United Methodist Church. Officiating was Rev. Harry Coleman. Sam passed away June 19, 1994. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee and was a member of the former Milan Loyal Order of the Moose.Her survivors include sons Samuel E. (Tami) Mills Jr. of Monroe, William Dennis (Connie J.) Mills Sr. of Monroe, Don (Caroline) Ripple of Maybee; daughters Linda (Robert) Bennett of Canton, Connie Sue (Corey) Frost of Belleville and Sarah Mills (Terry) of Dundee; 13 grandchildren ; 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; brother Harold (Helen) Heisler of Maybee and sister Kathleen (William) Strickler of New York. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother in law Jeanette and Floyd Ivester; and a great grandson. Friends may call on Sunday from 2 – 8 PM and on Monday from 11 – 8 PM the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156). She will lie in state on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 from 10 AM until services at 11 AM at Calvary Baptist Church in Dundee. Officiating will be the Rev. Don Brown, church pastor.
