Juanita G. Tyler, age 92 of Milan, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Evangelical Home in Saline. She was born March 18, 1918 in Watseka, Illinois to Guy and Iona (Burgess) Marvin. She married Leroy O. Tyler August 13, 1940 in Louisville, Kentucky. He passed away November 12, 2001. Juanita was a very caring person and spent her life taking care of her family. Before entering the Evangelical Home in Saline, she was a member of the Azalia United Methodist Church, the Milan Senior Center and the Milan Women’s Club. Survivors include a son James (Judy) Tyler of Mesa, Arizona, a daughter Patricia Chatell (Tim Rutherford) of Milan; four grandchildren Gary (Kayoka) Chatell of Saline, Ty (Michelle) Chatell of Tecumseh, Roy Tyler of California and Leslie Tyler of Illinois; six great-grandchildren: Amy Chatell, Erika Chatell, Leah Chatell, Tyler Chatell; also a brother Eldon (Betty) Marvin of Grand Ridge, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband Leroy, son Leroy Jr. (Butch), sister Ruth (Ray) Keene; three brothers Jerry, Billy and Strawd Marvin. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no visiting hours. There will be a memorial service held for her at 11:00 A.M., Friday, January 21, 2011 at the Azalia United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Courtney Williams, pastor of the church. Burial will be in the Azalia Cemetery. Memorials may be made in her memory to the Evangelical Home in Saline, 440 W.
