Obituary of Dennis T. Barr

Dennis T. Barr , age 67, of Dundee, died at his home on Monday, December 24, 2012 after a long illness. He was born in Monroe, Michigan, April 21, 1945, the son of Earl (Connie) and T. Irene (Ousterhout) Barr. He graduated from Dundee High School in 1963 and was employed by the Ford Motor Company Ypsilanti Plant until retiring in 2001. He was a member of the UAW. One of his major joys was playing golf. He is survived by his son DuWayne (Karen) Stull of Dundee; daughter Michele (Greg) Salenbien of Britton; brother Fred (Fritz) (Karen) Barr of Holland, Michigan; grandchildren Jason , Corey , Nick, Alex , Amber Travis, Wade, Ava and Wyatt; great-granddaughter Calli. In accordance with his wishes cremation has been held. Memorial services will be held at the Cover Funeral Home, 297 Tecumseh Street in Dundee (734-529-3156) Friday, January 4, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. Friends may call for an hour before the service from 12 noon until 1 P.M. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Douglas Olsen, pastor of the Dundee United Methodist Church. Cremains interment will take place at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee. He was preceded in death by his parents.
