Frank Lawrence Quince was born in Delray, MI on June 29, 1947. He was born from the union of the late Frank Henry Quince and the late Betty Lou (Harpster) Quince. Frank graduated from Airport High School in 1966. Frank married the love of his life, the former Bonnie Gonia in 1972. From this union would come the birth of two children. Frank supported his family as a Glass Cutter for many years taking a medical retirement in 1988. Frank was a man of God placing God first and foremost in his life. Reading scripture daily was of utmost importance and Frank abided by his favorite verse, Joshua 24:15. As a servant of the Lord, he taught Sunday school, Director of the Caravan ministry, and a board member of First Church of Nazarene. He was an amazing Daddy, a good "Boppa", and a loving husband. Frank had a great sense of humor, loved to have fun, and had an uncanny ability to spread joy to others. He was kind to all and never met a stranger. He was an avid sports enthusiast supporting Michigan Football and the Tigers. Frank was a south paw softball player and ump for many years and enjoyed the serenity of the outdoors "Perchin" with his friends. Frank Lawrence Quince, age 65 of Monroe was called Home to the Lord on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Sylvania Care and Rehab. His passing was preceded by his parents. To cherish his memory he leaves a loving wife of forty-one years: Bonnie Quince of Monroe; two daughters: Aubrey (Jonathan) Grassley of West Palm Beach, FL and Brooke (Ben) Keeran of Columbus, OH; one sister: Debbie (Rick) Guffey of TN; one brother: Frank H. Quince; one aunt: Dorothy Quince; two grandchildren: Emily Grassley and Zachary Grassley; one grand-dog: Heisman; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may gather from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 N Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 5:00pm also at Merkle's with Reverend Dale Hayford Pastor of Crosswalk Community Church officiating. A memorial dinner will follow at First Church of the Nazarene on South Custer. Memorials are suggested to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
