Obituary of Linda Lee Disher

Linda Lee Beck was born on July 23, 1952 in Gothenburg, Nebraska.   She was one of three children born from the union of the late Alton Leroy Beck and the late Doris Charlene (Goodrich) Beck.   Linda earned her high school diploma attending school in Colorado Springs, Colorado.   She had a love of knowledge and earned several college credits over the years.  

Linda was joined in marriage to Steven Disher on January 26, 1978 in Las Vegas, Nevada.   From this union came the birth of three sons.   Linda cared deeply for her family and their needs as a homemaker.   She loved to cook, and her delicious meals were always delightful for her family.   Some of her best dishes included her homemade meatloaf and pineapple upside down cake.   Linda cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren.

Linda had several hobbies that captured her attention.   She enjoyed a good game of cards often playing Free Cell or Solitaire.   Linda also appreciated a beautiful garden and looked forward to the blooming of her tulips each spring.   Her talented hands completed many sewing projects.

For several years she was employed as a cashier for Lowe’s Home Improvement in Monroe.   In addition, she had worked as an inspector and security guard for some time.

Linda Lee Disher, age 65 of Monroe passed away at 10:10am on Friday, March 30, 2018.   She had been under the loving care of Promedica Hospice.   In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by a beloved sister:  Sandy Bush.

To cherish her memory, Linda leaves her beloved husband: Steven Disher; her children: Steven Disher Jr. of LaSalle, Jason (Yvonne) Disher of LaSalle and Jeremy (Tara) Disher of LaSalle; one brother: Douglas (Maria) Beck of Colorado Springs, Colarado; two grandchildren: Jason Disher Jr and Kathryn Disher and several nieces and nephews.

No public services are planned.   Her final resting place will take place in Colorado.   Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185 has been entrusted with arrangements.
