Charles Lee Raymo was born in Monroe, Michigan on June 29, 1936. He was the son of the late Rolland J. Raymo and the late Loretta (Ahrendt) Raymo. Charles enlisted in the United Stated Army and served his country honorably from 1953-1956. In 1958, Charles married the love of his life, the former Sondra Bauman in Clyde, Ohio. Charles was a hard worker and supported his family as an assembler for General Motors Company. He retired in 1991 after more than 30 years of service. Charles was a homebody but enjoyed and shared many hobbies with his family. He loved riding his Harley and going four-wheeling at the cabin "Up North" in Curtisville. He also enjoyed the freedom of flight as a private pilot. He loved spending time with his family, especially get-togethers with his brothers and sisters. For more than fifty years, Charles dabbled as a gunsmith one of his true passions. He was a lifetime member of Disabled American Veterans and the National Rifle Association. Charles Lee Raymo, age 76 of Monroe, passed away at 2:31pm on Tuesday, March 12, 2013 at his home, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice. To cherish his memory he leaves two sons: Steven Douglas Raymo and Charles "Chuck" (Suzette) Scott Raymo both of Monroe; a sister: Betty (Tom) Schnorberger of Monroe; and two brothers: Arthur "Skip" Raymo and Jim Raymo both of Monroe.
