Obituary of Arthur Fehse

Please share a memory of Arthur to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Arthur "Rick" Gordon Fehse was born May 7, 1946 in Columbus Grove, Ohio. He was the son of the late Hank and Betty (Mumeau) Fehse. Rick was married by an Ohio Justice of the Peace to the love of his life the former Debra Edwards in 1965. From this union came the birth of five children. The young couple moved their family to Monroe to be closer to family. Rick worked hard to support his family as a truck driver, retiring from Auto Alliance in 2009. He never missed a day of work and he expected others to be just as diligent. Although he was serious about work, Rick had a lighter side and quite the sense of humor. He lightheartedly poked at those he loved to draw attention away from himself. Rick loved to talk to everyone and his super friendly spirit drew others to want to be part of his world. He loved family BBQ's and the annual family trip to Cedar Point. Rick was just a big kid himself, and on occasion he liked to race the children on his scooter. In his spare time, he loved to tinker around in his garage. Arthur "Rick" Gordon Fehse, age 66 passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2013 with his loving family at his side and under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice. In addition to his biological parents his death was preceded by a daughter: Katina Biggins. To cherish his memory, Arthur leaves his wife: Debra Fehse; his step-father: Jack Calvin Sr. of Monroe; four children: Tammy (Darrel) Stieben of Monroe, Kelly (Elbert) Barton of Monroe, Teri (Scott) Nunn of Monroe and Melanie (Jerry) Chastain of Monroe; three brothers: William (Carol) Fehse of Monroe, Jack (Denise) Calvin Jr. of Monroe and Glenn Fehse of Florida; one sister: Tana Calvin of Monroe; thirteen Grandchildren and 12 ½ great grandchildren.
