Obituary of Patricia Braden

Patricia Ann Braden was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 16, 1943. She was the daughter of the late George and Viola Hudkins. Patricia attended Monroe High School and resided in Monroe her entire life. Patricia married the love of her life, Otis L. Braden on March 29, 1960 in Monroe. From this union came the birth of seven children. She proudly took care of her home and children as a homemaker. She was a long time member of LaSalle Baptist Church where she served to provide Christmas gifts at local nursing homes. Recently she began attending Monroe Missionary Bible Baptist Church. Patricia was a fun loving mother that was easy going and would do anything for her children often acting as the peacemaker between all of them. Regularly she enjoyed cooking large meals for family get-togethers; she loved her family very much. Patricia had a sweet spirit and a great sense of humor. In her quiet times, she liked crafting especially crocheting. Patricia Ann Braden, age 69 of LaSalle, passed away at 4:25am on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her beloved husband: Otis, a son: Gary Daniel Braden, a grandson: Daniel Thomas Braden, and a brother: Howard Hudkins. To cherish her memory, she leaves three sons: Terry (Christine) Braden, Thomas (Lisa) Braden, and Timothy (Cherri) Braden, all of Monroe; three daughters: Christine (Tony) Parron, Sheryl (Thomas) Burtis, both of LaSalle, and Lori (Larry) Rose, of Monroe; one brother: Fred (Sandy) Hudkins of Monroe; two sisters: Linda West and Sandra Hudkins, both of Monroe; seven grandchildren: Jason (Becky) Braden, Gregory Rose, Joshua Braden, Justyn Parron, Heather Parron, Kaelee Braden, and Matthew Rose; three great-grandchildren: Caleb Braden, Sarah Braden, and Madison Rose Arnold. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 8:00pm on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 N Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 15, 2013, also at Merkle's. Mike Pressnell, Pastor of Monroe Missionary Bible Baptist Church will officiate. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park for burial.
