Obituary of Marcella Spaulding

Marcella Spaulding was born in Monroe on June 8, 1951. She was the daughter of the late Walter Bajor and the late Marion (Kardys) Bajor. Marcella graduated Airport High School in 1969. Marcella earned her cosmetology degree from Dawn's Beauty School in Flat Rock, Michigan and supported her family by cutting hair for over ten years in her home. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed bird watching and shopping for antiques. Marcella had a passion for crafting and would always make wrapped gifts look fantastic. She enjoyed spending time outdoors, planting flowers and keeping up on her yard work to make her house a pleasant place for visitors. Marcella loved her family very much and adored her grandson, spending as much time as possible with him. She also cherished the time she spent with the family up North at her cabin in Mio, on the AuSable River. Marcella Spaulding age 61 of Monroe passed away on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Mercy Memorial Hospital. Her passing was preceded by her parents. To cherish her memory she leaves a son: Danny (Kelly) Spaulding of Monroe; two sisters: Patricia (Robert) Sneyers of Ormond Beach, FL and Diane Bajor of Haslett, MI; three brothers: Jerry Bajor of Carleton, Joe (Margie) Bajor of Carleton, and William Bajor of Monroe; and one grandson: Allen Spaulding of Monroe. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 7:00pm on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 N Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle's. Father Marc Gawronski of St. Mary Parish will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the family.
