Obituary of David Lowe

Please share a memory of David to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
David Lowe was born in Joliet, Illinois on November 3, 1941. He was one of two boys born from the union of the late Oanfa Carl Lowe and Edra Matilda (Blain) Lowe. He graduated from Greenview High School in Illinois. He married the love of his life the former Wanda Scott on August 7, 1961 in Jellico, Tennessee. From this union would come the birth of four children. The Lowe's enjoyed traveling the United States and visited many KOA and Yogi Bear parks with their travel trailer. David was a hard worker and led his family by example. He was proud and loyal employee of the Ford Motor Company where he worked as an In-Line Machine Operator for more than forty-eight years. David was employed at the Monroe Plant until transferring to the Woodhaven Plant at its closing. David was a jack of all trades. He loved working on the house and in the yard, even if it wasn't necessary. He performed multiple tasks by himself and learned quickly the things he didn't know. David loved to decorate for the holidays and seemed to have bling for every event from Valentines to Easter, from Christmas to Thanksgiving, and even Halloween. David was a generous individual, caring, and compassionate. He was always helpful and never spoke ill of those around him. Dave Lowe, age 71 of Monroe passed away at 9:44am, Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Oakwood Southshore Medical Center. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by his father-in-law: Ernest Scott. To cherish his memory he leaves a wife of more than fifty-one years: Wanda; four children: Lorenda (Mark) Schrickle of Toledo, David Scott Lowe of Monroe, Lorissa "Dawn" Lowe-Farr of Saline, Devin Lowe of Lambertville; one brother: Oanfa Blain "Mike" Lowe of Orlando, Florida; his mother-in-law: Elizabeth Scott of Monroe; and seven grandchildren: Andrew, Kalee, and Alyssa Lowe, Ryan, Brady, Liam, and Eliza Farr.
