John William Buford February 3, 1920 - October 13, 2012 John William Buford was born in Huntsville, Alabama on February 3, 1920. He was the son of the late Robert Buford and the late Minnie (Parker) Buford. He married the love of his life the former Iva Nell Baker. From this union came the birth of three daughters. For thirty years John was employed as a production worker at Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local. John was a hard worker and he always made sure that his family was provided for. John loved the outdoors and spent his free time fishing and hunting. He also liked woodworking, gardening, playing cards, and wine-making. John was very outgoing, he loved to socialize with others; and he enjoyed surrounding himself with friends and family. He was an amazing caretaker for his beloved wife, Iva. John never complained; even through the hardest of times.
