John "Jack" Paul Laderach November 6, 1943 - October 13, 2012 John Paul Laderach was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 6, 1943. He was the son of the late John Laderach and Anna (Velker) Laderach. Jack grew up in Luna Pier. Jack married the love of his life, Mary (Heath) Laderach, on March 27, 1965 in LaSalle, Michigan where they made their home. From this union came the birth of five children. Jack had a passion for others and was well known for putting them first. He was an extremely caring individual and a bully's worst nightmare. He took his responsibility as a man, father, and provider very seriously. He adored his family and always looked forward to family get-togethers. Jack was a very proud of his children and grandchildren. Jack had a strong work ethic, he took employment with Hamon Custodis in 1969 building smoke stacks, then later retiring in 2011. He also owned and operated JC Quality Wood Stoves in which he opened in 1977 until present. He was a member of the Michigan Carpenters Union. He loved eating, especially at all-you-can-eat buffets. Jack enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time fishing and hunting. He was a devoted church member of Erie Presbyterian Church and active with the "Hotline to God". Before passing, and during his four months in the hospital, his brothers were faithfully by his side working to get him better. John "Jack" Paul Laderach, age 68, of LaSalle passed away at home on Saturday, October 13, 2012. In addition to his father, Jack's passing was preceded by a brother: Chuck; and a sister: Ruthie (Merrit) Laderach. To cherish his memory, he leaves his wife: Mary of LaSalle; his mother: Anna of Luna Pier; three sons: Tom Laderach of Luna Pier, Jeff (Huinen) Laderach of Adrian, and Mark (Jenny) Laderach of Monroe; two daughters: Jolynn Laderach of Erie and Marriann (Todd) Wesley of Temperance; five brothers: Ted Laderach, Mike (Rose) Laderach, Rudy (Kathy) Laderach, Bob (Alma) Laderach, and Ben Laderach; nine grandchildren: Kristina, Arron, Luke, Kearra, Austin, Alicia, Hattie, Hayden, and Josie; and two great grandchildren: Charlie and Reyna. Friends may gather from 2:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 9156 Summit Street, Erie (734)848-5185. He will Lie-in-state from 12:00pm until a Celebration of His Life at 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Erie Presbyterian Church, 2029 Manhattan Street. Pastor Brenda Wilkison officiating.
