Obituary of Deborah Howard
Please share a memory of Deborah to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Deborah Lynn Howard was born in Middlesboro, Kentucky on December 14, 1951. She was the daughter born from the union of the late Ed Howard and Benadine (Frye) Howard. Deborah earned her GED, and went on to receive her certificate in Phlebotomy.
For several years she was employed by Mercy Memorial Hospital before her retirement.
Deborah had given her life to the Lord. She received her spiritual nourishment from attending Monroe Full Gospel Church, and knew her salvation was secured.
Deborah was very "hands on" when it came to her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother, and an excellent big sister. She had a great sense of humor and was known to giggle often. Deborah was also well known for her particular way of doing things and her dependency on making sure that things matched. She loved to collect elephants and her collection was particularly large and impressive. Deborah loved dancing, doing crossword puzzles, playing cards, and watching game shows.
Deborah Lynn Howard age 60 of Monroe passed away at 8:10pm, Monday, October 8, 2012 at her home. She had been under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice. In addition to her father, her passing was preceded by her step-father: Frank Nadeau; a sister: Judy Sparozic; and a brother: David Howard.
To cherish her memory she leaves two sons: Larry (Katie) Turner of New Orleans and Kevin Turner of Monroe; two daughters: Leah Vining and Lei Rissa Licari, both of Monroe; her mother: Benadine Nadeau; two brothers: James (Pam) Howard, Wayne (Nan) Howard; two sisters: Sharon Cronenwett and Vicky (Tim) Black; and grandchildren: Amanda, Miika, Trévon, Charlotte, Trace, Keith, Trinity, Davonté, and Jován.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 12:00 pm at Monroe Full Gospel Church, 5337 East Albain Road. Reverend Harold Raines, pastor of the church, will officiate. Arrangements were entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185.
