Please share a memory of Nilda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Nilda A. Sharp was born in Manila, Philippines on October 23, 1948. She was the only child born from the union of the late Mateo Austria and the late Potenciana Borja. Nilda attended Manila College where she earned her Associates Degree in Customs. Nilda moved to the United States in the mid 1970's. She made her home in North Carolina where she would later meet the love of her life Wade Sharp. They were joined together in marriage on April 14, 1982 in Clyde, Ohio. From this union would come the birth of their daughter: Heather. Nilda was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church. As a Medical Assistant at Dr. Donilo's Family Medical Clinic for more than fifteen years, she was able to fulfill her true of passion, caring for people. After retirement, Nilda looked forward to volunteering in the community; and helping serve the needs of the elderly. Nilda loved to cook and she enjoyed sharing her creations with her family. She enjoyed garage saling and she always seemed to find great deals even if it took some negotiating. Nilda Austria Sharp age 63 of Newport passed away at 8:35pm, Friday, October 5, 2012 at her home. She had been under the care of Mercy Memorial Hospice. In addition to her parents, Nilda's passing was preceded by her mother and father-in-law: Kenneth and Donna Mae Sharp; her sister-in-law: Debra Sharp and her brother-in-law: Larry Willis. To cherish her memory she leaves her beloved husband of thirty years: Wade Sharp; her daughter: Heather (Mike) Kobylasz of Riverview; two grandchildren: Heidi Massingo and Brynne Lee Kellner; three brothers-in-law: Kenneth (Lori) Sharp of Clyde, Ohio, Kevin and Brian Sharp both of Monroe; two sisters-in-law: Kathleen Perkins and Cheryl Willis both of Monroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
