Eileen Rose McDonald was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 5, 1929. She was one of four children born from the union of the late Mike McDonald and the late Eleanor McDonald. Eileen was a 1947 graduate of Dominican High School in Detroit. Eileen worked the switchboard for the Michigan Bell Telephone Company for several years. She married the love of her life John F. Clark on December 31, 1964 in Detroit. The young couple moved to Woodland Beach, where she would reside the rest of her life. Her beloved John passed away in April of 1971. Eileen brought her family up in the church. They received their spiritual nourishment at St. Anne's Parish in Monroe. Eileen was a wonderful mother and homemaker. She spent many years after John's passing as a single parent. She was a bright, intelligent woman and a good, caring mother. Eileen always knew what she wanted and she worked hard to achieve her goals. Once she made up her mind there was no turning back, and she was always right.
