Obituary of Penney Reaume

Penney Joy Reaume was born in Monroe, Michigan on January 24, 1969. She was the daughter of the late Floyd Reaume and Ava (Gerber) Reaume. Penney was a graduate of Bedford High School where she had lettered several years on the Varsity Softball team. Following graduation, Penny attended Hillsdale College for a brief time on a softball scholarship. Penney was an avid Tiger baseball fan. She loved to fish and didn't care where as long as the fish were biting. More than anything she loved her family and she was extremely thoughtful. Although, Penney had been through much personally, and didn't have many worldly possessions of her own, she always made time to send her family cards and give small gifts on their special days, like birthdays and anniversaries. In fact, it seemed she never forgot about these events. Penney loved her Pespi-Cola, and over the years had shared her love with several pet poodles, that she treated like her own children. Penney Joy Reaume, age 42 of Monroe passed away at her home on Sunday, August 5, 2012. In addition to her father in 2004 her passing was preceded by a brother: Scott Alan Reaume also in 2004. To cherish her memory she leaves her mother: Ava of Monroe; five siblings: Floyd Steven (Debra) Reaume of Monroe, Patricia Marie (Mark) Angove of Monroe, Shawn M. (Tayti) Reaume of Newport, North Carolina, Pamela Ann (Randy) Pudvan of Leslie, MI, and Jay (Virginia) Reaume of Houston, Texas; twenty nieces and nephews: Kim (Joe) Estil, Michael, David, Kelly, and Daniel Reaume, Melissa (Jason) Dunsmore, Jennifer Angove (Rob Goldberg), Starlena Angove, Aprii, Errin, Justin, and Ashley Reaume, Chad Chelsey, and Chris Pudvan; Elizabeth (Josh) Greenhill; Ashley, Nicholas, Cody, Jacob, and Colby Reaume; and several aunts and uncles. Friends may gather from 1:00pm until 3:00pm, Friday, August 10, 2012 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 3:00pm also at Merkle's. The Rev. Alfred Whitaker of Victory Temple Church and the Rev. Daniel Petree of North Monroe Street Church of God will co-officiate.
