Jimmy Ralph "Keck" Wolard April 19, 1953 - February 5, 2011 Jimmy Ralph Wolard was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 19, 1953. He was the son of the late Ralph Wolard and the late Dorothy (Kitts) Keck. Jimmy married the former Janet Broman, and from this union came the birth of two children: Amanda and James. He worked for several construction companies throughout the years serving as a maintenance man until taking a medical retirement. Jimmy was a man of many varied interests, but whatever it was he was doing he chose to do it with a Budweiser in his hand. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan. Jimmy also loved to hunt and fish. He often could be found shooting pool and he never missed the chance to play the lottery. He loved listening to music and his favorites were country and rock. Jimmy was a simple man. He enjoyed the little things in life, like Eckrich Bologna and Campbell's Vegetable Soup his two all time favorites. He was a loving man and cherished his family. He was generous and kind father. Although friends may remember him for his sarcasm, his family will remember him for his big, true heart. Jimmy Ralph Wolard age 57 of Toledo passed away at 10:57pm, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at his home. In addition to his parents his passing was preceded by a grandmother: Hazel Kitts; and a brother-in-law: Harold McLamb. He leaves to cherish his memory two beloved children: Amanda L. Wolard of Luna Pier and James R. Wolard also of Luna Pier; his companion: Janet Rhinehart of Toledo; a sister: Patsy McLamb of Monroe; a sister: Wanda (Gill) Trevino of Toledo; and a half-brother: Sherman Neal Keck of Monroe. Friends may gather from 2:00pm until 8:00pm, Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Merkle Funeral Service with Major Mary Thomas of the Salvation Army officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Wolard Family. The Family wishes to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Erie West Hospice for their care and devotion toward the Wolard family during Jimmy's illness.
