Janet Rose Peters
November 4, 1971 - January 7, 2011
Janet Rose Peters was born at Bixby Hospital in Adrian, Michigan on November 4, 1971. She was one of three children born from the union of Noah J. Peters and Wanda L. (Rice) Peters. Janet grew up in Jackson, Michigan but she moved to the Monroe area some twenty years ago and graduated from Monroe High School.
Janet danced to the beat of her own drum. It was well known that she had a mind of her own and wasn't afraid to show it. Janet had so much love to share. She was charitable, giving, and was a loyal friend. She always put the needs of others first and would never allow the voices of those she cared about to be muted. Janet also was a beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, and aunt. She thought the world of her two nephews. Janet took special care of her Granny, and always was worried about her mother, even when she herself was down. Janet was a dog lover and she currently shared her home with four-legged friend: Brutus. She was a very spiritual person and loved the great outdoors. Janet also enjoyed the Colorado Rocky Mountains, fireworks, and music.
She had worked as a Supervisor for Lens Crafters for five years.
Janet Rose Peters age 39 of Monroe passed away unexpectedly at her home on Friday, January 7, 2011. Her passing was preceded by several grandparents and her beloved dogs: Cuba and Malcolm.
She leaves to cherish her memory her parents: Wanda Rice of Jackson and Noah Peters of Alabama; grandmother: Janet P. Peters of Monroe; sister: Sheila (Andrew) Relyea of Alabama, brother: Noah John (Melissa) Peters II of Monroe, nephews: Nicholas and Noah; her best friends: Kelli Pleuss and Cherie Williams; and beloved dog: Brutus.
