Bonita "Bonnie" Colleen Wilkinson August 24, 1942 - September 22, 2010 Bonita Colleen Zibbell was born in Toledo, Ohio on August 24, 1942. She was the daughter of the late Elmore Zibbell and the late June (Wilson) Zibbell. She attended Summerfield High School. Bonnie worked as a cook for Carl's Hideaway in Ida for more than fifteen years. She took a medical retirement in 2000. Bonnie was a simple woman, nothing fancy just the real deal. She loved the company of her family and friends more than anything else. She had a special bond with her sister: Kathy, and Kathy had the ability to lift her up when her spirits were down. Her daughters warmly referred to her as a great mother and stated that she has left a legacy of love with her children and grandchildren. Although, Bonnie will remembered most for her love, a wicked sense of humor ranks a close second; and she would probably agree. She enjoyed challenging her mind by completing word find puzzles. Bonnie had attended the Presbyterian Church in Petersburg. Bonita "Bonnie" Colleen Wilkinson age 68 of Monroe passed away at 12:14pm, Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by a daughter: Deanna at birth. She leaves to cherish her memory two beloved daughters: Beth Funchion of Monroe and Denise Beckey of Blissfield; two sisters: Kathy (Bill) Neil of Fife Lake, Michigan and Debbi (Doug) Holt of Boonesville, Mississippi; one brother: Terry (Kathleen) Zibbell of Camden, Michigan; four grandchildren: Renee Ziesmer (fiancé Bobby Wilson) of Toledo, Joshua (Larissa) Ziesmer of Monroe, Kristy Lee Ladd of Petersburg, and Cavin Beckey of Blissfield; six great grandchildren: Amanda, Brad, Zackery, Zoey, Lacie, and Wyatt. Cremation has taken place, and according to her wishes the family has gathered for a private Celebration of Life service.
