David Thomas Ives April 23, 1988 - April 9, 2010 David Thomas Ives was born in Dearborn, Michigan on April 23, 1988. David was the son of Gary Paul Ives and Heidi Marie (Huff) Ives. He moved to Carleton in 2001 from the Dearborn/Redford area. David was a 2006 graduate of Airport High School. While living in Dearborn Heights, David was a member of Faith Baptist Church. During his teenage years he was very active in the church youth group. David enjoyed the outdoors and he was an avid hunter, fisher, and enjoyed going 4-wheeling. He also loved the company of others and spending time with his family and friends. For the past eight months he had worked construction as a welder for the Reeves Construction Company. David Thomas Ives age 21 passed away from injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Dublin, Georgia on Friday, April 9, 2010. He leaves to cherish his memory his fiancé: Katie Johnson; his mother Heidi Ives; his father: Gary Ives; and a brother: Charlie "Chucky" Ives. Friends may gather from 1:00pm until a Celebration of His Life at 7:00pm, Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. The Rev. Mike Fleishman, David's youth pastor will officiate. His final rest will take place with burial in Georgia.
