Clark G. Ray was born in Florida on September 19. 1943. He was one of thirteen children born from the union of Ernest and Dovie (Dye) Ray. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. Clark came to Monroe in 1967 to raise his family and was employed by Consolidated Inc. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother, and Clark never met a person that he did not like. Clark G. Ray, age 72 of Huber Heights, Ohio went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, December 13, 2015. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy Ray; an infant son: Christopher; a daughter: Bridget Hammac; an infant brother: David; two sisters: Barbara (Gary) Pendleton Sr. and Maggie Louise Ray; his parents Ernest and Dovie (Dye) Ray; and a grandson: Daniel Suffron in 2014. To cherish his memory he leaves eight children: Clark "Buzz" (Shirley) Ray, Randy Ray, Robert (Lulu) Ray, Sheila (Mark)Huskey, Pamela (Danny) Suffron, Steve Warner, Chris Girardin and Joshua Cangialosi; twelve brothers and sisters: Orvel (Johnny) Ray, Jerry Ray, Ernest Ray Jr., Ellen Pridemore Ray, Joyce Cooper Ray, Patricia(Bill) Buber, Lisa(Zach)Taylor, Priscilla Ridner, Sandra(Micheal)Paul, Eric Dye and Ronnie Dye; a step brother: John "J.D." (Joann) Dye; a step sister: Zola (Tommy) Dean; fourteen grandchildren: Dustin Owens, Nikki (Larry) Sellers, Brook (Travis) Conley, Tabitha Ray, Brittiany (Brandon) Rookstool, Channing Huskey, Ryan Tyler Huskey, Ally Huskey, Kevin (Katrina) Reynolds, Danielle Suffron, Kyle Ray, Steven Ray, Steven Joe Warner and Derick Keith Warner; and several great grandchildren. Family may gather from 11:00am to 1:00pm on Friday, December 18, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street, Monroe (734)384-5185. A Celebration of His Life will follow at 1:00pm also at Merkle's with Reverend Harold Raines and Pastor Gary Pickrell of Monroe Full Gospel Church officiating. Procession will follow to Roselawn Memorial Park in LaSalle for burial.
