Obituary of Connie Riddle

Please share a memory of Connie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Connie Annette Shumate was born in Monroe on March 21, 1951. She was one of three children born from the union of the late Edward Sr. and the late Madonna (Bouton) Shumate. Connie married the love of her life, Dallas Riddle Sr., on September 27, 1969 in Monroe. From this union would come the birth of six wonderful children. Connie stayed home to care for her family and cherished every all the moments with them. Connie was an avid Soap Opera watcher, and made sure to set aside time every day to watch her favorites. She also enjoyed the Home Shopping Network. Connie was a very colorful soul, loved nothing more than to laugh, sing, and dance. When her children were young, the Riddle family spent countless hours at the Toledo Zoo and going on picnics in the parks. Later in life, as she fought a long, hard battle with cancer, Connie enjoyed long walks with her dog, Mickey, and staying in shape by exercising with her daughter. For the last few years she was living at Wellspring Lutheran Services, and made so many friends there. She brought a lot of energy to those around her, never missing a game of bingo or crafting with all her friends and granddaughter there. Connie Annette Riddle, age 64 of Monroe, passed away on Monday, November 16, 2015 at ProMedica Monroe Regional Hospital. In addition to her parents her passing was preceded by her husband, Dallas Sr., in 2007. To cherish her memory, Connie leaves two sons: Dallas (Allison) Riddle Jr of Grand Rapids, and Jeremy Riddle of Tuscan, Arizona; four daughters: Charity (Jeremy) Tuttle, Melanie (Tim) Lambrix, and Janey (Chris) Hill of Monroe, and Beverlee (Shaun) Kerby of Fowlerville, Michigan; one brother: Edward (Leann) Shumate II of Monroe; one sister: Tammy (Jeff) McCully of Monroe; eleven grandchildren, who will greatly miss their Nana: Emily & Kyle Riddle, Caitlin, Courtney & Jeremy Jr. Riddle, Jennifer, Lucas & Rylee Lambrix, Christopher Jr. & Paige Hill, and Desmond Kerby; a beloved canine companion and baby boy: Mickey; and many other family and friends.
