Essie May Moore February 5, 1924 - September 14, 2015 Essie May (Fath) Moore was born in Hamilton, Ohio on February 5, 1924. She was one of five children born from the union of the late Walter J. and the late Essie (Wessles) Fath. Essie married the love of her life, the late, Theo "Bud" Moore on March 25, 1944 in Campbell County, Kentucky. From this union would come the birth of two boys'. The couple then moved from Eaton, Ohio on October 1, 1950, making their home in Monroe. Essie helped support her family working at Cunningham's then Audrey's Clothing Store in Monroe for eleven years until taking retirement. Essie received her spiritual nourishment through Trinity Lutheran church where she was a member for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed sewing, quilting with the ladies at Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteering at Wellsprings Lutheran Services. For the past seven years, she lived with her son, Mark. Essie May Moore, age 91, of Monroe passed away at 8:05pm, on Monday, September 14, 2015 at Wellsprings Lutheran Services. In addition to her parents, her passing was preceded by her husband: Theo Moore in March of 1992; a brother: Robert R. Wessels; and three sisters: Doris Miller, Walda Sue Keltner and Barbara Ann Blake. To cherish Essie's memories she leaves her beloved children: Mark (Jill) Moore of Monroe and Wesley (Jackie) Moore of California; three grandchildren: Jason Moore of Monroe, Kristi Moore and Jarrid Moore both of Charlotte, North Carolina; and two great grandchildren: Brittney Cousino Moore and Alexander Moore both of Monroe. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2015 at 11:00am at Roselawn Memorial Park, 13200 S. Dixie Highway LaSalle, Mi with Pastor Karl Fuhlbrigge of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe, 14567 South Dixie Highway Monroe, Michigan (734)241-7070. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Trinity Lutheran Church.
