Obituary of Melanie Barron

Melanie Joy Barron was born in Monroe, Michigan on April 9, 1979. She was one of two daughters born from the union of Charlie H. Barron and Melanie Joy (Baker) Wickenheiser. She attended Monroe Schools and graduated from the high school in 1998. Melanie was a sweet daughter, and a great mother. She was close to her family. Melanie loved to spend time with her daughter scrapbooking, amongst many other activities. She had membership to Imagination Station and to the Toledo Zoo where she loved to visit with her daughter. When the weather was good, Melanie often enjoyed roller skating in the park. Melanie Joy Barron, age 35, of Monroe passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at home. Her passing was preceded by her sister: Charlee Barron. To cherish her memory she leaves her father: Charlie H. Barron of Monroe; her mother: Melanie Joy (Roger) Wickenheiser of Monroe; beloved daughter: Makiya Charlee Barron of Monroe; maternal uncles: David Baker of Oregon, Ernest Baker of Michigan, and Mike Baker of Michigan; paternal uncles: Jim and Ralph Barron of Toledo; paternal aunts: Linda Barron of Florida, Gloria Barron of Monroe, and Laura McAlpine of Massachusetts. Friends may gather from 5:00pm until 7:00pm on Thursday, March 5, 2015 at Merkle Funeral Service, 2442 North Monroe Street (734) 384-5185. A Celebration of Her Life will follow at 7:00pm also at Merkle's with Pastor Harold Raines of Monroe Full Gospel officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial donations are suggested to the Barron Family.
