I am saddened to hear the news that Joe had passed away, I would of came to the funeral if I seen this earlier.
I used to cut Joe and Sue's hair for a long time at Airport Beauty salon in Carleton. They both were great people and great parents. I hope the family finds peace within to help them heal their broken hearts.

Joe and Sue have always been people to look up to! May he rest in peace. I have a fun memory of him when we rode sleds hooked up behind Murphy’s tractor and rode around the country block, maybe 7 sleds? Once I fell off and Joe and Sue’s sled ran straight over me. He came running back to see what my injuries were as I was still laying on the ground- but it was because I was laughing so hard! It was fun!

Sue,
So sorry for your loss! Joe and I worked together for two years (1978 to 1980) at the Enrico Fermi Power Plant. His expert knowledge, instruction, guidance, and oversight of critical welding procedures and practices are a good part of the reason that the Fermi power plant has the operating reliability it has. Joe would always require a complete set of facts before approving the work. He was always knowledgeable and respectful, and most importantly, he never tolerated mediocre work. If there were any paperwork issues, missed hold points, or procedural issues--he refused to approve the work. He was responsible, well-informed, and overall a great guy. In my recollections of Joe, he had a job to do, and regardless if you were the construction manager or an admin tech, he treated all with the same level of respect. Joe was, above all else, a true gentleman.
May God be with you and your family at this delicate juncture of life.

Mr Emerick was always great to us St. Pats/Airport kids growing up and in our adult years . He and Mrs. Emerick always welcomed us into their home for sleepovers or just to stop by. I am so saddened to hear of this loss. I will always have great memories of him and the Emerick family.
Thoughts and prayers to Sue, Kim and Mark .
Sincerely,
Josh Reeber
