Gathering for Malachi Joseph Rusan
Homegoing Celebration for Malachi Joseph Rusan
Obituary of Malachi Joseph Rusan
Malachi Joseph Rusan was born at St. Joseph Mercy Medical Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan on Monday; November 4, 2024. He was the son of Lance Dijon Rusan and Britney Royale Frazier and the little brother to seven-year-old sister: Kamryn.
In utero, Malachi was quite shy and reserved during the day, however, at night, being very active, he liked to give his mother fits. Kamryn was very excited and looking forward to being a big sister.
At 27 weeks, Britney began having complications, and this kept her in the hospital for more than two weeks as the hospital team worked to care for Malachi and mom. Unfortunately, Malachi peacefully passed away at 1:32pm, two hours after birth in the arms of his loving family. While Malachi’s journey was brief, the love his family had for him was profound. He touched the hearts of all who knew him. Although he will not be with us in body, he will forever remain in the hearts of his family. His parents received great comfort in knowing that Malachi was greeted at Heaven’s gate by his maternal great grandparents: Roy and Shirley Anderson and paternal great grandparents: Jerry and Brenda Rusan.
To cherish his memory Malachi leaves his parents: Lance Dijon Rusan and Britney Royale Frazier; a sister: Kamryn Danielle Rusan; maternal grandparents: Veronica Carter and step grandfather: Raymond Carter of Detroit, Michigan; maternal grandfather: Albert Frazier III of Dearborn; paternal grandparents: Tracy Rusan of Romulus and Paul Lidsey of Kentucky; paternal great grandmother: Carol Smith of Kentucky; paternal aunts and uncles: DeJuan (Danielle) Rusan of Pontiac, Demetrious Lidsey of Romulus, Dominique Johnson of Romulus, and Larena Hightower of Detroit; maternal aunts and uncles: Natalie Anderson of Southfield, Albert Frazier IV of Detroit, and Samantha Frazier of New Jersey; and a host of great aunts and uncles.
Friends may gather from 11:30am until 12:00pm on Tuesday; November 12, 2024, at Crane Funeral Home and Cremation Services; 36885 Goddard Road, Romulus, Michigan 48174 (734) 941-9200. A Homegoing Celebration of His Life will take place at 12:00pm. Cremation will follow.
