Patricia Ellen O’Brien was born on December 20, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan. She was one of three children born from the union of Russell and Wanda (Krasuski) O’Brien. She attended Mackenzie High School, where she met the love of her life Thomas Walters. After graduation she and Thomas tied the knot and were blessed with the birth of two children.  The duo remained married until his passing in August of 2020. The couple shared a passion for exploring the natural world, and enjoyed taking in the sights, camping under the stars on many occasions.

When Thomas retired, it was an easy decision to move to Davenport, Florida—a place where they could enjoy warm weather and beautiful landscapes year-round. Patricia began working as a Tupperware sales representative. Her vivacious personality and genuine love for connecting with people made her an extraordinary success. Patricia was known for her kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand. Her Florida neighbors looked forward to her delicious homemade meals, where she delighted in feeding the entire neighborhood anything they wished for.

Shopping was another love of Patricia’s. She thoroughly enjoyed her trips to Belk’s, where she would often find just the right outfit for any occasion.  She spent many of her weekends wandering through flea markets, discovering hidden treasures and bargaining with vendors.
