Barbara Susan Bray was born on February 17, 1956, in Monroe, Michigan to the union of JC Bray and Gladys (Sullivan) Bray. One of eight, Sue grew up seeking the outdoors as a means to escape the chaos of her siblings. She graduated from Monroe High School and completed courses to become a Registered Nurse.  She went on to have an extensive career spanning nearly fifty years. Sue was the heartbeat of the medical department at Ford Motor Company, where her expertise and kindness left a lasting impact on her colleagues and those under her care. Her professional life was not just a job; it was a calling that she fulfilled with grace and professionalism.

Sue had a passion for the outdoors. She had a green thumb and loved to spend her time in the garden, cultivating a beautiful array of flowers and plants. Landscaping was not just a hobby but an expression of her artistic side and her love for nurturing growth. Those who knew her often said that if she hadn't been a nurse, she would have been a renowned landscaper, such was her talent and enthusiasm for creating a beautiful outdoor space.

Sue's skills extended to the kitchen, where she was an avid baker. She delighted in creating delicious treats for her family and friends, each recipe filled with the same care and attention she gave to the other aspects of her life.

A veteran of the Armed Forces, she proudly served her country and her experiences in the Army were a source of great comedic relief to her family. Sue often joked about being the “class clown” of her platoon and shared many laugh inducing memories with her family from her time in the service.

Sue married Larry Addis on August 8, 1988, and together they blended their families and lived happily in Monroe until the time of her passing. An adventurous spirit, Sue also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. It was a place for her to unwind and enjoy the thrill of the game. Her love for the casino was just another facet of her multilayered personality, one that embraced fun and excitement alongside her many responsibilities.
