Obituary of Tracy Lynn Moore

Please share a memory of Tracy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Tracy Lynn Moore was born on May 28, 1986, in Dearborn, Michigan. She was one of two daughters born from the union of Rodney and Kimberly (Columbus) Torson. After graduating from high school, she successfully pursued and completed several college courses. On September 18, 2021, Tracy married the love of her life: John Moore, and together they welcomed a combined six children into their blended family.

Tracy was a true artisan in the kitchen. Her culinary skills were revered by many, and it was often said that if it could be imagined, Tracy could cook it. Cooking was more than a hobby for Tracy; it was a way of bringing her family together. It wasn’t uncommon to find her deeply engrossed in a new recipe, determined to perfect each dish. She found pure joy in baking with her girls, i.e.: her daughter, and her bonus daughter. Together, the trio created masterpieces that often looked too good to eat—brownies that were impossibly fudgy, cookies that were the perfect balance of chewy and crisp, and cakes that were works of art. Their kitchen was filled with laughter, flour-dusted memories, and the irresistible aroma of their baking endeavors. Tracy’s food was so appealing that guests often hesitated to take the first bite, fearing they would disturb the magazine-worthy presentation. Yet, once they did, they were always met with an explosion of flavors that demonstrated her skill. Her real passion was the time spent with the family. Tracy’s family was the center of her universe, and she nourished those bonds as carefully as she did her beloved recipes.

Tracy enjoyed working with special needs children and earned her degree in special education. She worked as a Teachers Aid working at Airport Community Schools with autistic children. Children loved her wherever she went, always having parties and sleepovers for the kids. She was full of life and always made sure everyone was having fun. Growing up she was born an entertainer and danced with Dance Korner Performing Arts from the age of 3 to adulthood. She loved baseball and had the nickname of Ballerina printed on her softball shirts.
