Obituary of Frank Abe Albany

Please share a memory of Frank to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Frank Abe Albany was born October 19, 1966, in Detroit. He was one son born from the union of James and Consuelo (Hinojosa) Albany. After high school, he became gainfully employed by American Axel as a production line worker as well as a roofer for a few years. He also placed for States as a BMX racer.

Summers at his late aunt Evangelina and late uncle Sam Vassallo’s house near Swan Creek were filled with adventure. Rabbit hunting and turtle trapping by the creek became rituals. Fishing was another of Frank’s beloved pastimes. Whether it was a serene mountain stream or a bustling lake, Frank was content as long as he had a bow and arrow or a fishing pole in hand.

Frank found kindred spirits in his buddies: Russ, Dave, and Jake. The four were together, especially when it came to their hunting trips. With Russ, who was like a big brother to him, Dave, and Jake by his side, they shared countless weekends tracking deer or setting up deer blinds. The camaraderie between them was ironclad, strengthened by their shared passion for hunting and a good laugh over a cold beer after a long day in the woods.

His love for outdoor activities extended to his home life too. Recently, he had purchased a new lawnmower and an array of tools, eager to keep his property in top shape. From his backyard, Frank had a perfect view of a nearby river. He enjoyed watching the kayakers paddle by and the boaters cruising along the water.

Frank’s life was simple yet fulfilling. It was defined by his love for nature and the outdoors, the bond he shared with his family and friends, and the simple pleasures he found in maintaining his home and yard. It was a life where every fishing trip, hunting expedition, and yardwork session added a new chapter to his story, a story that celebrated the beauty and tranquility of the outdoors.

Frank Abe Albany, age 57, of Newport, passed away unexpectedly, at his home, on Saturday June 29, 2024.
