Obituary of Julie Christine Logan

Julie Christine Logan was born on January 16, 1970, in Monroe, Michigan. She was one of six children born to the union of Dale Brown and Elaine (Richards) Brown.  She attended Monroe High School before transferring to Ida High School in Ida, Michigan where she graduated with the class of 1989.  After high school she furthered her education by attending Ross Medical Institute, earning her medical assistant certificate.

On January 14, 2000, in Toledo, Ohio, Julie married the love of her life: Doug Logan. Together the couple was blessed with two beautiful children; daughter: Sarah and son: Alex.  Julie’s life revolved around caring for others. To her core, she was a loving and caring person.  She loved her clients as if they were her own family.  Although she was a full-time wife and mother, Julie made time to help others.  For the past year and a half, she spent her time with the Hoppert Family caring for their son, Nicholas. 

Julie cherished the time she spent outdoors whether it was watching butterflies in her yard, fishing, camping, or spending time in the mountains of Tennessee. She was especially fond of her cat, Cleopatra, and doting on her daughter’s friends as if they were family.

Julie Christine Logan, age 53, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday; August 10, 2023, at the ProMedica Ebeid Hospice Residence in Sylvania, Ohio after a brief illness. Her passing was preceded by her parents: Dale and Elaine Brown and her husband Doug Logan on December 28, 2015.

To cherish Julie’s memory, she leaves her daughter: Sarah Logan of Monroe and her son:  Alex Logan of Bruce Township, Michigan; godson: Jacob; two sisters: Jennifer (Matt) Vargo of Walbridge, Ohio and Connie Brown of Toledo, Ohio; three brothers: Robert Brown of Monroe, Scott (Mandi) Brown of Monroe, and Paul (Dawn) Brown of Temperance, Michigan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

No public services are planned at this time. Julie’s care was entrusted to Merkle Funeral Service, South Monroe; 14567 South Dixie Highway, Monroe, Michigan 48161 (734) 241-7070. Cremation has taken place through the on-site crematory, Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.

Memorials are suggested to the Logan Family to assist with the funeral expenses.
